Am I the only one who doesn’t watch acting award shows? I mean, the majority of the participants are just a bunch of spoiled, fake people who pretend and pose for a living.
I DON’T CARE whose designs they are wearing. I DON’T CARE who did their hair. I DON’T CARE about how many carats are around their necks or fingers. Who gives a shit? These awards are pretty much about who can out-pretend who. That’s what acting is – pretending. They get paid enough. Do we really need to add awards and celebrity gift bags to that? How about having award shows for great scientists or inventors? Great teachers or great parents? THAT is something we should have on TV.
By the way, acting CAN be an admirable profession if it teaches something or makes the world a better place. Otherwise, I don’t rank them any higher than the guy who sucks the crap out of our septic tank every 2 years.

I happen to enjoy award shows, in fact I like them so much I’ve decided to blog about them. I’ve come to terms with the fact that the show itself won’t bring world peace or feed the masses, but the glitz and the glam is fun to watch. We (and when I say we I mean the 41.5 million viewers that tuned in last year) like to see how some of our favorite celebrities clean up, who they show up with, and who wins. Americans are invested in their celebrities because they invest in their product with their hard earned dollars. We spend our monthly entertainment budget at movie theaters and on the products these celebrities are selling. Oh, and btw, your crap sucker guy deserves a little more credit than that. Of course he’s making your world a better place.

The thing about my septic guy was not meant as a dig on him. I meant that I don’t see celebrities as being any better than the people that I deal with on a daily business – my bank teller, the kid who bags my groceries, etc. I actually really respect my septic guy. Septic systems are actually quite fascinating. I learned a lot when I was doing real estate.
Anyway, that’s just my opinion on celebrities and award shows. It’s totally cool for you to have an opinion.

Enough already with Award shows! Don’t the “Hollyweird Elite” have enough of these shows where they pat THEMSELVES on the back? Don’t forget, people, that with the exception of The PEOPLE’S Choice awards, all the votes are cast by either the actors themselves or the Academy members (who are mostly actor anyway). It’s dumb enough when so many of us Joe and Josephine Sixpacks tell these sh*****ds how great they are – Don’t watch shows where THEY do it as well.

And one other thing! Am I the only person on the planet who has had it up to here with the politically correct BS of Female sideline reporters in College and Pro football games? Jeezy-Peezy! They don’t know anything about the game, mostly because how many of these brain-dead bimbos ever played College or Pro football, and all most of them do is read the teleprompter or ask gallingly STUPID questions about the players current (if he remembers her name) girlfriend or wife, or to keep us updated on the toe fungus epidemic in the Lions lockerroom! All most of these dames have is a rack and they”re cute (weel, with the exception of Suzy Kolber-woff-woof) Let’s get them off the field untill they actually learn enough about the game to know something about it!!!
