Bitch #3 – Everything I buy breaks or has missing pieces.

I understand that people are all looking for bargains these days, but it seems like everything I buy either comes with missing pieces or breaks immediately. This is usually stuff that I have bought at WalMart, so I refuse to buy anything of importance there. It used to be you could rely on a well-known brand for quality, but it just seems like that’s generally not the case anymore. I am SO TIRED OF RETURNING SHIT!

Wow, you are not kidding. I have experienced this SEVERAL times, myself just over the past year or two! An example… my hairdryer. I have had the same hairdryer for years. I mean, since I was in high school. It finally bit the dust so I bought a new one. And I didn’t just pick up the first cheap thing on the shelf. I honestly perused the aisle, comparing the different features and build quality as best I could, and chose one. Got it home and it worked fine for a while, but now it just won’t turn on sometimes, for no apparent reason. There’s quality for you!

Same thing happened when I replaced my old toaster. Pathetic. I guess it’s a consequence of the the “disposable” society we live in. Buy cheap small appliance, it breaks in a year? No biggie, it was only $20 to begin with.

As an aside… I was so stinking mad at the hairdryer that I took the old hairdryer, unscrewed the outer casing, cleaned it out, tweaked a couple things that didn’t look quite right, and put it back together. Works like a charm, now!

Yet another fun way to strike back at corporate America. This works especially well with anything having a remote, and the costlier the better. As soon as you unpack the item, call the (Usually) toll free number and say that the remote is missing. I’ve been doing this for more than 20 years and it still works. Once, Sanyo mistakenly sent two! It’s often very nice to have that extra remote at times. too, especially if one hits the floor too many times and you really need another!

I know how u feel. last year i bought a dell studio 15 laptop that costed me $2,500 (australian) and a few weeks after i bought it the hard drive failed and i had to get it repaired. so i rang the so called “australian tech support” and i got indians, IT TOOK THEM 3 MONTHS TP FIX IT. they told me every single day when i rang them that someone would come out tomorrow and fix it and they never did, they say they will ring u back,, but they never do.

About 4 hours ago i bought a $450 malvern star pushbike and the gears instantly broke, since im only 15 i have to ride it all the way back into town which is about 6km to get it repaired.

so long story short, everything i buy breaks
